The challenge

Manual HR and safety processes limited efficiency, visibility, and consistency across operations.

Managing employee onboarding, training, and occupational health and safety (OHS) processes across multiple facilities required coordination between HR, safety teams, and operational managers.

At its core, the application is built on a configurable dictionary-based system, allowing each facility to adapt workflows, forms, and data structures to its specific needs.

The solution supports the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding and training verification, internal assessments and continuous improvement.

It combines backend, frontend, and infrastructure technologies to support scalability, security, and flexibility:

  • Python for backend services and business logic
  • PostgreSQL for structured data storage
  • Angular (TypeScript) for the web-based user interface
  • Gunicorn as the Python HTTP server
  • Nginx as a reverse proxy and web server
  • Linux for system infrastructure

How it works

The platform provides a centralized view of employee data, training status, and operational requirements.

It supports:

  • verification of training completion before work begins
  • coordination of tasks and deadlines across teams
  • management of employee-related resources, such as assignment of workwear based on role-specific requirements

Built-in form management enables users to create, modify, and manage documentation required by internal procedures and regulatory standards.
